Common questions
Straight answers about residential IPs, plans, workspaces, and how you connect.
What is Proxy Charm?
Proxy Charm provides residential proxy IPs. You get our host, port, and a unique login. We assign a real residential exit address after you pay. Connect with HTTPS CONNECT. No software to install.
Is this a rotating, pay-per-GB network?
No. You buy residential accounts at $9.99 each, not a bandwidth pool. The same exit stays yours until we replace it. We don't charge by the gigabyte.
How is this different from a datacenter proxy?
The exit is a residential address, not a cloud range. Sites can block a whole datacenter list in one go. A home-looking IP is harder to toss out that way.
How does payment work?
You create an organization at signup, add accounts under it, choose a country per IP, and pay on Stripe Checkout. We assign the residential exit after payment confirms. Renewals keep the same exits and logins.
What do I get after I pay?
A Proxy Charm hostname, a shared port, a username and password, and the residential exit IP for each account. Point HTTPS CONNECT at Proxy Charm. Everything you need is in the dashboard.
Can I run multiple projects under one organization?
Yes. Add an account for each client or project. Every account gets its own residential IP and credentials. Billing stays on one org invoice.
What happens if an IP is replaced?
The assignment and login stay the same. The old exit is taken out of service. Reconnect your client to pick up the new residential address. You will see it on Proxies.
Do you support SOCKS5?
Not yet. Today we ship HTTPS CONNECT. If your client only speaks SOCKS, it will not work with our network.
What credentials do I use to connect?
Use the Proxy Charm host, port, username, and password shown in your dashboard. That is everything you need to connect.
